Lexy enjoyed school today

Hello everybody! Lexy had so much fun at school today. Their theme this week was all things that deal with nature. She got to go on a nature walk this morning, she made Mommy an adorable work of art, and she planted grass seed in a cup. Too cute!! I've been so lucky with her transition to preschool. I hope next year at Kindergarten it she does as good. We haven't had her IFSP yet, but we intend on sending her 3 days a week half days, and then she will repeat the grade next year by going all day every day. After testing and talking it over with everybody, she is defiantly ready for school but just not everyday all day long. If we ever want to change her schedule next year, we always can, so we are going to start out slow.
Lexy will go to Riley next week to get her counts done and to see Dr Jude. As always, I'll ask you to pray for good counts for her. Then the following week we are going to the down syndrome clinic at Riley. This is something we did with Lexy before she had leukemia and we quit going once she was diagnosed. I'm anxious to get her back to see their doctors. They keep you up on all things necessary medically for Lexy and also give you advice on dealing with different aspects of her everyday life. I'm really looking forward to going. I'm very happy with how Lexy is doing and I hope they feel the same.
Nathan is doing great too. He is getting so big and of course Daddy and I think he is the smartest little boy ever. His vocabulary is just amazing and he is just so darn adorable!! He still loves his Popsicles, and yes he is still making tons of messes with them. Music class ended this week, so I think I'm going to look into a tumbling/trampoline class for him. Lexy's preschool class went there for a field trip, and I think Nathan would love it. Burn of some of that energy!! He so adores going outside and would probably sleep and eat out there if I let him.
Not much else going on. We are finishing our basement in the next month or so. A much needed playroom and family room will be down there now. It will be so nice to have a special area for toys and it'll be nice for Jason and I to be able to relax and watch tv but also be right there with them. Hopefully, it'll be pretty much done by the time we get back from DisneyWorld (all ready for some new toys from Mickey!!). Thanks for checking in on us and I believe you can now leave comments easily by just clicking on the comments at the end of this post. Take care and enjoy this beautiful spring weather!! Liz
