Baby news

Just wanted to share with you that yesterday we found out Lexy and Nathan are going to have a little sister. We are all very excited and can't wait to see her (we've got awhile though). Everything looked normal and we are right on schedule for 20 weeks along. YEAH!!!!
Nathan is getting a "big" boy bed today. He is pretty excited, and hopefully this will be one step closer to keeping him in his own room!! I got him a cute comforter with cars and trucks all over it, he'll be thrilled when he sees it.
Not much else going on around here, thought I'd also share some swimming pictures with you from this past weekend. They sure are enjoying the pool this year!!

Zoo and Fireflies

Not much going on around here, hence no updates. We went to the zoo on Sunday and I wanted to share a couple pictures with you. Nathan was in heaven with the elephants (his favorite). The last picture is of them outside catching lightning bugs. Too bad it gets dark so late b/c they had a blast and would do it every night.
We are going swimming tomorrow and Karley (lexy's friend) is coming over this morning. I'll update more soon!!

A Good Day

Hello everyone! We are all having a good day today. Lexy and Nathan have been playing up a storm with all of their toys, which always makes Mommy happy. Of course, I just follow their messes everywhere they go, but I'm just glad they are being so active. They just sat down for their morning snack, so I thought I'd update really quickly.
We have a pretty easy week this week. This afternoon the kids are going to get their haircut, which they both enjoy. I never thought I'd be able to say that but they actually do! They both sit in the chairs like perfect angels, and it is great!! We are suppose to have storms here, so I'm hoping we make it there and back before they start. Karley (lexy's friend) might come over this week. They both have been missing each other, so hopefully they play good together (you never know at this age!). Other than that, we are going to just stay home and relax (what else can you do when gas costs so dang much!). I hope to make it to the zoo soon, but I'm going to hold out for a nice day and the kids have been wanting to go swimming, so we might do that soon too.
Please continue to keep Kennedy and her family in your prayers. She is having fevers and can't be released to home until she's 48 hours fever free. Well gotta go and clean up the snack mess! Take care! Liz

Summertime

Hello! Thought I'd share a picture with everyone from yesterday. I need to start taking more pictures, I started looking at my camera and I didn't take any in June! That is so unlike me, so I guess I better get busy!!
Lexy had an evaluation today for Occupational Therapy. I didn't really want to add in more therapies in on her, but this is something she really needs right now. I think at the end of summer we will stop speech therapy for awhile. She'll get ST in preschool and I think that will be enough for her at this point. Her first goal in OT is putting her shoes on. Lexy can take her shoes off but not on, so that is a good goal for her, and hopefully she'll have it mastered quickly.
Lexy and Nathan news...hmmm...well they are both doing great. They got over their colds fairly quickly and are feeling much better this week. They both have enjoyed having the "new" downstairs and are up and down the stairs constantly. We got the tv hooked up to satellite yesterday, so now Mommy and Daddy can enjoy themselves too!! Nathan is talking more and more everyday and his development simply amazes me. He talks in full sentences now, and just runs around like a crazy man. I think out of both kids, Nathan is going to have the biggest adjustment to having a new brother or sister. He's a Mommy's boy and I don't think he is going to like a baby sitting on mommies lap but I guess with time he'll get use to it.
That is about all for now, just wanted to let you know we are still here. If you notice that to the right of this post and down a little, is a box with a little girl named Kennedy on it. She is going to have surgery this week, so if you could please keep her and her family in your prayers. Thanks for checking in on us, have a good week. Liz
